Clayhouse

is a one woman operation headed by Erin Buterick from her home studio. From start to finish, the design, pattern development, and construction is done by hand.  Erin started her path to design by sewing as a hobby since the age of 15. Mostly self-taught, she decided to hone her skills, specializing in the field of tailoring and alterations through a two year apprenticeship with a master seamstress. She currently divides her time between: Clayhouse, Project Erin, bridal alterations, and organizing The Makers Festival with a bevy of fabulously talented women.
